Lg Blu-ray Opens and Closes Erratically

I just recently bought an LG blu-ray burner from another [H] member model: WH10LS20, I have used it to read blu-ray's, dvd's, cd's, and burn dvd's and cd's, I have not used it to burn a blu-ray yet.

Everything was working well until today, when I turned on my computer the tray started going crazy. I have unplugged it as I do not use it often, maybe 4-5 times a week, but I do use it.

Does anyone have any experience with this situation, and know what might be causing this, and a good resolution?

I know that I have seen many other complaints about this problem with first generation (and later) dvd burners but I don't like the solution as everyone has said to just get another one. I have only had this unit for about a few weeks now, and have yet to get one blu-ray burn out of it, lol.

Sticking button, perhaps? Try taking the faceplate off and see if it still acts erratically.

You might also want to see if LG has a later firmware to download from their site.

When you mean erratically do you mean when you press the button sometimes it opens/closes or that it will open and close by itself?
