Will sell the Tivo on ebay, going for maybe $150-200.

Any thoughts on these tv's? I had a 47" LG LH90 that I sold to buy the Sony a couple months ago, but the awesome promotions ended and they've all sucked since.

And no I don't need another plasma, this is for my girlfriend so she can't fuck it up accidentally.

LG's 240hz LED 3D sets are pretty damn good. Local dimming means nice inky blacks , however do the research on avs forums and check for any poor LED bleeding as that can kill the dark picture advantage. However I haven't heard a lot of bad feed back on these new LG LCD's.

Its a damn good bundle price but there are about 3 3D Blu-Rays out right now , I think at some point the studio's are going to realize that its a failed venture.

Decided it was more than I want to spend. Not really interested in the 3d, but seems all new high-end models are coming with it whether you're going to use it or not. Already have a 58" 3d plasma, it's cool but yea there is hardly any 3d media support for it.

Guess I'll wait until tomorrow to see what the HX800 deal is this period, again. Originally was 55" HX800, 2 pairs 3d glasses, 3d transmitter, 3d blu-ray player with 5.1 home theater system, all for ~$1,700 with my friends employee discount. But the boss that had to approve the sale was on vacation and it expired before he came back.
Last week the promotion was just the damn TV for $1,700 after discount, so screw that.

Heres the links in case anyone wants to replicate the deal

first step:

second step:
(check mark the first tivo then add it to cart)

and yeah this deal is pretty damn insane, if you like LCDs then this is one of the best out there since its LED locally dimmed (and its really close to the $4000 samsungs and sonys). For $2070 its already a GOOD deal for a locally dimmed LED, the fact that it comes with over $600 worth of stuff for free really just makes it retardedly good.

I am glad someone else sees this too. I really cannot see having friends over for the super bowel and telling them to BYOG (Bring Your Own Glasses). I think that 3D TV is a stalling technique, because OLED is maturing slower than expected.

The LX6500 is a cheaper cersion of the LX9500 flagship model. If you're planning on using the 3D I suggest you read this LX9500 review that should give you an indication of the 3D picture quality:LG LX9500 review
