On an impulse I picked one of these up for $278. I patched the driver for freesync as described in this forum so the range is now 32-75. Driving it with an overclocked 290x. It replaced an old viewsonic VX2770SMH-LED 27-Inch.

Have so say after the initial OMG that is wide I am quite satisfied with it.

I wanted to test out freesync which seems to be working but I have not encountered something that pushed me outside the patched range. basically, i can not tell the difference yet (

Really like the additional FOV.

It will be a good interim display until the next generation of GPU's and monitors comes out.

I will do some research. Never considered that before.

Might not be a good return on investment since the 290x rarely drives high settings over 75.
