Hi, I want to ask you people about two issues:

    1.

What do you think of this backlight bleeding? does it look severe to you? it bothers me from time to time, but I have no idea if I'm a bit nitpicking or actually is a really defective monitor...should I gamble with a replacement?...I'm living in Argentina and I've bought it in the UK, so is quite annoying to ask for a replacement and feels a bit like a lottery, the other choice is a refund...

The pic brighter, is a photo with my cell phone, the other two are captures from a video I've made with my phone. BTW the captures look more like it looks in person, the pic looks worse than it looks in person

    2.

I've used the CyberLink Ultra HD Blu-ray Advisor to test the monitor and my hardware and I've obtained a NO in HDCP 2.2, even if my GPU is a 1080 ti and the monitor specs includes it.
The first thing I thought is that the cable might be the problem, even if I'm using the one included with my monitor.
So yesterday I've changed the cable and it was detected...YET today with the same cable, again HDCP 2.2. is not detected ..I don't have a clue of what is happening. I've ordered anyway one of those new 2.1 HDMI cables, but I'm thinking that the problem might rely somewhere else, but I don't have a clue of what else I have to test or set up.

Thanxs in advance for your opnions and help! and BTW pardon my english since it aint my first language.

There is definitely some bleed in the bottom left, not the worst I seen. To make sure it's only the bleed you are capturing it's best to take the photos from 3-4 meters distance (filters out the IPS glow which all panels will have). This is why I also hate buying monitors, the panel lottery is a bad joke :)

Yeap exactly, that is what bothers me, the lottery that involves replacing it. I still have some days to obtain a refund or a replacment. I'll do what you adviced me later. I thinks is quite a nice monitor in relation to price and specs, but I dunno if out there is thg not far from thsi price that assures me no bleeding or even some extra specs. The thing is that buying from here the arse of the world, is a lot more complciated. Thanxs for the help man!

PD; BTW does bleeding or IPS glow get worse in time? or is it just what it is and manteins at the same level throught time

No, it stays the same. With these ultra thin monitors that they tend to make now you only need to pay attention when transporting and handling it, once it's on the table only temperatures acts on the panel and that is not enough to cause changes in bleed. What you can try is gently pressing the back of where the bleed is since it's usually the panel being forced more in one place that causes it, but this is a long shot, it probably will just make it better for 1-2 mins until the panel pops back in it's original state. If extra shipping cost is involved I wouldn't risk to exchange it you can end up better but also true the other way. Ultimately it's your call, I haven't seen it in person but from the photo you posted I had a monitor with similar bleed that served me well for over 6 years and didn't really bother me in normal use.

For reference here is an LG 27UD58 that I refunded https://imgur.com/a/gGkA2. Yours only has it on one side and seems to me it's fainter (not sure in real life, mine was just as bad in RL as on the photo).

It's more about the time, since I work with it and also the lottery involved than anything else. Actually Amazon fro at least a month covers every penny, later I think is a %. Thanxs again man for the help!
