Hi all, new to the forum. I just purchased a LG 24GM77-B. I haven't had a chance to play around with the Motion240 strobe settings or any other settings yet. I am debating whether to keep it and I thought I'd ask the experts here. I uploaded some pics of the monitor on a black screen at night. I was wondering if you think this is a lot of backlight bleed or if it's in an acceptable range for a gaming monitor of this type.
The pictures were taken with my android phone's camera and the effect is more pronounced in the photos than what I'm actually seeing but it does still seem like a lot of "light clouds" for lack of a better term.

In my opinion that is a lot of bleed, if you can return\exchange it, i would.
 
What brightness setting? Most of these 144Hz monitors have visible blacklight bleed at high enough brightness settings since they tend to be extra bright and therefore usually suffer from more BLB since brightness of the backlight also affects it. Most monitors today do it at 100% brightness but many can be acceptable below 40-50% which is the levels you should be using anyway if you want acceptable accuracy in colors.
