so heres the thing. i posted a big long dealie in this thread that had some dude wondering if he should go X1900XT or 7950GT. well im wondering the same thing myself as the games i play really are on the fence.

so heres the thing, i have heard numerous claims that "i got 700 core on my 7900GT!" or something to that effect.

but i've never heard anyone say "I got 720 on an X1900XT!" or "i ulocked my GT and clocked it at XT levels!!"

so im asking for anyone with a story like this to post here. Hardcore NV people seem to out number Hardcore ATi people these days, by a rather grotesque ammount.

Sapphire X1900XT running at 760/846 here. Not a bad overclock imho, although it took aftermarket cooling (in this case water - already had the Maze4 from my last card) to do it. Stock cooler barely allowed an overclock, but an extremely thick layer of thermal goop and hideous pads on the memory doesn't help!

Well I can chime in about my x1800GTO, I haven't tried to unlock it but I slapped on a vf900 and got up to 625/625, anything higher gave me artifacts in ATT during the summer. With a little luck I'll push it higher this winter, but right now it gives me around 8500 3dmarks in '05 so I'm very happy with it, especially for the price.
