Hey all, Anyone have experience in pen drives. I have my jump drive by Lexar asking me to be formatted when I look at it in My Computer and I tried Dos commands to format it and it has told me in no short words to jump off a bridge. The sad part is it is a 1 gig drive.
If anyone has some ideas what I could try let please let me know.

im guessin you've tried right click and format? if you have try going into adminstrative tools/computer management/disk management and format it there? if you cant do that..it may be a bad drive..its possible..i have 4 SD chips on my desk and 1 cant be formatted..ive tried it in my dell axim x5, my zire71, inside my 8-1 media drive card reader, in my mp3 player, and finally in my camera, nothing wants to format it..its a bad chip and sadly its 256 megs =/

Thanks for your suggestion I have given every type of format a try then using some kind of MBR restore disk and I am all most sure that would not work. Alas I think I will be out one jump drive..
