Levitating Water Effect

I think I saw this at the Exploratorium in San Francisco like 25 year ago... and 20 years ago... and well hell every other time I've gone

Yeah back when I used to go to my State Museum all the time I always thought that was a cool thing. They had a dial that you could turn to make the strobes blink faster or slower too

i wasnt surprised to see this on digg, but [H]ard|Forum? cmon, this isnt [H]ard by any means

I loved that place as a kid!! I've seen this before in many variations.

We have posted these types of things for years....

...and we think they are cool every time we see them.

*sigh* and then there is the "Oh shit, you posted a water cooling article...dude, we've seen those for years" crowd that can't let you post something because you thought it was cool.

Net time I see one of these. I am going to make a post on the front page that says "Damn, I saw this cool shit...but sfsuphysics saw it 45 years ago so you fuckers are ass out."

i require actual levitation

this is not faux news, you can dispense with the sensationalist thread titles.
please.

The again most people can read "Levitating Water EFFECT" and the title of the video was "Levitating Water" and the video clearly explains it is an optical illusion.\

Thankfully the people that liked it versus the people that didn't are easily 10k to 1.

I have seen it a bunch as well, and you know what? I still find it cool to watch.

Thank's Steve for the cool little Vid.

As for the complainers, Seriously..get a hobby guys.

its not that we hate that you put this here, but it is a little misleading. being in the 'front page news' section it should mention something like 'old tech' still looking cool. as it is it seems this is supposed to be news, or somewhat recent.

People who go "old news" are retarded, who cares its if its old, its cool, and the rest of us may not of seen it before.

Thanks for sharing Steve!

I was pretty I had seen it before, I just could not place it. That said, it does not make it any less awesome.

I've seen this post before. Old post.

;)

me too.

Some people forget that we have thousands of people a day that are not forum members and don't comment on posts that haven't seen this stuff and/or still enjoy it. Hell, we have posted a lot of these over the years that are still cool to this day.
