I really want to get my dual P3 800's thrown into the mix but unfortunately you guys chose a benchmark that is practically windows-only. (my server only runs linux, like a real server should) There is a very rough linux port of glibench available but I can't even get it to compile yet...hopefully I'll get it working sometime soon.
 
Quick run at 3190mhz on my 4800+
DRAM settings messing me around, been system tweaking/testing for past 2 days. No screenshot for this run, but I do have a screenshot for 198% overall run. PM me if you want the screenshot, will upload it when I've stopped benching.

clibench is purely CPU (except the one memory test). Pcmark05 is a syntethic test used to simulate things you may do on your computer. Because of this it tests hard drive seek times,  windows boot times etc.

"Synthetic" to be means "artificial"...However, i am developing an unhealthy suspicion that it relates more to real-world situations i.e. everyday usage?

In other words, is it enough to have fast CPUs blazing through Clibench tests while a single AMD64 w/ equal amount of RAM scores 6000+ on PCMARK05 compared w/ my 4600?

wud appreciate thoughts...

"matrix operations" seems to be extremely cache dependant.
 
The database has finally been updated per request by e-mail, but I don't have time to run off a new graph right now. College is very busy...

PS - "matrix operations" is very very cache dependant. AthlonXP Barton's don't begin to show up until the lower end of the sorted list..and the TB is more or less at the bottom. icemochalatte w/ 2MB of L2 per processor is essentially at the top.

I'm guessing that the Matrix Operations score should be similar on a P4 w/ HT enabled or disabled...unless there is some odd issue in how this code calculates scores (wouldn't be too suprising)... I don't see any machines with a quick glance tested w/ both HT on and then off to come to a conclusion on that hypothesis (similar matrix ops scores) though...

System is an IBM Intellistation Z Pro. Dual 2.8 Xeons, HT enabled, 4GB (4 x 1GB) of Reg ECC PC2100 DDR - although XP only shows 3.3GB?, XP Pro SP2, and if they matter FireGL 256MB video, 128MB IBM U320 SCSI Raid with 8 x 146GB 15K.4 Seagate U320 Drives. It's a graphics RIP system at my shop.

Look better with two threads to me and still not near as good as many of the others posted here. At least gives an idea on another OEM system though.

Thanks for the results. I'll put them in this weekend. I just got back from a vacation in Japan and am getting settled in at college. So it's been a little busy. This weekend I should have some time before I go skiing.

I'm also researching if the Thermalright SI-97A Heatsink will fit in my Gigabyte GA-7DPXDW-P motherboard, and may order a pair. Then I *might* get a higher overclock to try, hopefully something around 2.5-2.6GHz if I set the machine out in the cold. But I may also not be so lucky. Cheers.

A question for you Xeon guys that are beating me....are you doing 4 threads to account for hyperthreading? I'm assuming that none of the xeons above are dual core (other than poncho's)

Both run on the same computer in sig (X2 3800+ @ 2.55GHz, 1GB PC3200 @ 215MHz, CL2.5, WinXP Pro x64). As you can see there are some very nice improvements with the 64-bit exe. :D

Where do you get the 64-bit version from? Me!

Of course you're going to need a 64-bit version of Windows to run it...
