Yeah, I was thinking about that cause the 8800GT with it's new flexibility is realy awesome!
But you can always wait when I was beginning this little project I was looking at the 7600GT but when finished things had already changed so I still think it's the best Bang 4U Buck right now!

the previous X1900 XTX champ, and quick enough to run at high resolutions
with nice eye candy. It will handily beat a 7950 GT, and will even best a
7900 GTO or 7900 GTX at most applications. You simply can't buy anything
better at this price point right now.

The Case will be my old Acrylic Spire Midi Tower EE-CasE01 ATX.
My HD's will be my "old" 4 x WD3200SK in RAID 0 (see also my sig)

Thats why I guess I realy couldn't afford the extra Euro 140+.

Good luck with it. I have an E6400 on an Asus P5B Deluxe with Corsair DDR2 800 RAM and it's currently hitting 3.2Ghz. Won't go any higher, but 3.2Ghz is just fine by me. I also just ordered the same video card to put in it...
