Sorry, my bad, it appears on further investigation that you did in fact reply to the right thread. It just looked out of place.

What is your setup currently for the work boxen? Fold-server has two seperate networks that it's on: defaults are 192.168.1.* and 10.* If you've already got a different network setup, it shouldn't be difficult to set it up differently, especially if I can log in. If you've already got a router going like a cisco or something, it'd be best to keep it where it is. Fold-server is designed to be behind a gateway not for security, but because that's what most people have going. I'm not sure how it'd deal with being directly on the internet.

Setting up a VPN seems like a lot of trouble, from what I've read - have you done it before? The boxen still get WUs occasionally, so I don't want to go to too much trouble.

No reason to put the fold server on the public internet. I've got a Dlink router here that should do what we need it to, or can do up a IP cop or somethign and match the subnet/IP scheme to your default.

T-1 Router was 8 ports off the back (public IP's), set the D link/Ip Cop to a public doing NAT to 192.168.1.x for you. I'm guessing the 10.x is the folding clients right? 10.x clients use the 192.168.1.x gateway I'm hoping. T-1 router to Dlink to switch to clients and done, right?

VPC- easy if Win clients, Linux no clue. I've done a few, having trouble with my own personal one not that I think about it... another story.

I think Oldbenwa was meeting up with MN Scout today at 1 cst. I've got to dart over to a T-1 install at other location. I'm thinking at the earilest we would be starting is ~ 3 pm cst. No worries, we'll make do with out you... :) I should call him I guess.

I'm sitting here setting up some major GZH today, really should be doing that instead of typeing... j/k :D

ps I know I was right about the thread postings.... :p

eidt: simple version- I can match any subnet, this whole mess will be on it's entire own network.
