Lens Reccomendations

Heading off to the big apple soon, looking at renting a couple lenses.
Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM
and
Canon Ef 24-105mm f/4L IS USM

What body, and do you plan on taking anything else besides this one lens?

A big part of your lens choice is going to come down to what you're trying to shoot, and how you want to do it.

If you're using a full frame sensor then the 24-70mm and 70-200mm will cover most of your usage scenarios. If you're obsessive about wide and wanting to get as much as you can into frame, then the 16-35 or 17-40 can be added to that list. If you're able to rent three lenses then that would basically do it all.

16-35mm f/2.8L II or the 17-40mm f/4.0
24-70mm f/2.8L or the 24-105 f/4.0 IS (although I prefer the f/2.8 to this lens in almost every way.)
70-200mm f/2.8L IS II

Since you're on a 1.6 crop, then it will probably be more important to have the wide angle and the general purpose lens (if you're only going to do 2.) Basically the two lenses that you mentioned in your first post. Although with your current lenses, you've covered most of your usage scenarios... granted the L-series stuff will be much higher quality (less CA, less flaring, higher sharpness, etc.)

I went ahead and ordered the
10-22 reccomended and
the
24-105

I appreciate your reccomendations and wish i had the room/time to rent a couple more, but because i am going to be on a bus with 40 other people, don't have too much time. Will post pictures next week!
