I just ordered the Lenovo Y700 like the one you were looking at.(mine will be a Touch so subtract $200 off yours)...I am going to upgrade a few things my self on it..Real EZ (look at uTube video)


I got the Smallest HD 500G and no 2nd drive( SSD)
Upgraded to the 4G video card but left the screen Res at the lower one(not the Super High res option-not worth the extra $100)
Also got the 8G memory.
Price $1,100

Now bought a 500G m.2 SSD from Newegg and a 1TB 7200Rpm HD..Crucial MX200 M.2 Type 2280SS (Single Sided) 500GB SATA 6Gbps (SATA III) Micron 16nm MLC NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CT500MX200SSD4 - Newegg.com WD Black 1TB Performance Mobile Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 32MB Cache 2.5 Inch - WD10JPLX - Newegg.com

Total $236

Then going to get 16G memory for $64 Crucial 16GB DDR4-2400 SODIMM CT8013044 | IdeaPad Y700-15ISK | Crucial.com

Grand total $1400
So if you do not get the touch you are looking at $1200-$1300 max with tax-and do your own upgrades
