Lenovo laptop X270 sound got muffled

Dear folk
All of a sudden My Lenovo X270 sound gets muffled
I googled and I found a lot I troubleshooted what I found but no joy
Can you please advise what extra needs to be done ? don't mind to re-troubleshoot again

replace the speaker, or make sure nothing got lodged in it.
plug in some headphones to see if the sound is normal, if it's muffled as well, maybe a driver, setting, or the hardware failed.
