I just saw a local news report on the TV, and it seems there are allegations of insider trading (I didn;t think martha worked there ;) ) One wonders if this will hurt the company and cause delays for ATIs new line of 800X products. ???

OFN..

... The events at the centre of the case occurred in early 2000, when ATI issued a surprise warning that it would not meet its growth targets on May 24, 2000.

The news sent ATI's stock price down 42 per cent and chopped the company's market value by $1.8 billion in a single day.

The OSC alleges Ho and his wife, and two other couples, managed to avoid millions of dollars in losses or made profits by trading ATI shares before the company told investors of the poor sales.

Ho gonna be a prison ho? :p

It actually looks pretty bad for them.

that sucks....but it cant really hurt them all THAT much...after all its ATI.....the one who slaughtered the FX wseries...ummm...guys .....ummm...support here???.........damn..that could suck.

They send people to prison, not compaines. So no it won't hurt the company or its products.

guys, insider trading isnt something that a company does, its somethign that someone that works there does. there will be an investigation and someone will probably be heavilly fined or jailed but its not going to affect the bottom line unless half the company was involved.

Blatently ignorant statement ..... since some of the companies assets have just been frozen... I would say it sure does hurt the company.

Try to look at the bigger picture here.... not all insider trading happens exactly the way Martha Steward did it..

just curious .... anyone have a guess on how many cigarettes Martha is worth ?? or maybe she is the queen shiznit there??

The U.S. just made an example out of Martha Stewart because of pressure due to the corporate scandals that happened here starting with Enron. I doubt Canada has the same public pressure so even if Ho were convicted, I doubt they'd send him to prison.

MFZ aint that the true.

No one really knows tha ATI is in Canada anyway. Even though the Huge ATI building cant be missed from the 407. Our (Canadas) justice system / goverment is so backward they would probably just buy another broken down sub for ATI
