Okay I wasn't sure where to post this so MODS move it if you see fit. I have a ton of dynamat left over from my car (just cleaned my room, just found it). I would say about //runs to check/ a square yard of it (3ft x 3ft). It is the Dynamat "extreme" or what ever with the foil on it.

What if anything should I use it for on my comp. I think this stuff would most likely retain heat more so than the Ali case. I dont have the comp set up yet so I cant point out trouble spots.
So now that the case is bare is there any where you think I could put it that would help? Or should I just wait.

put the dynamat on the side panels...or if theres a window on the back panel... if you got some left over on roof of case also... anywhere you can fit it... aluminum sucks for sucking up noise

the ammount of heat that goes through the metal is completely negligable... good air flow is what you need

HDD cage. Dynamat is most effective is stoping vibrations, so try to put it where-ever you think there will be alot of vibrating.
