I'm sorry for stupid question, this is for two builds (Lian Li Lancool II Mesh RGB case) I'm doing with my kids.
I don't think either orientation has any impact on air flow.

Here are two examples to give an idea what I'm taking about :)

Any comments much appreciated.

Right, but depending on the tube length you could also potentially front mount it with the tubes down so you get fresh air intake for the rad air instead of hot exhaust. (or if its a low heat cpu it dosent matter)
 
Right looks better and cleaner too, at least from the photos provided.
 
As others have said, Right would be better. Less bending in the tubes is a good thing for fluid flow. Also keeps the tubes from developing a permanent kink. Putting the tubes in air flow probably doesn't hurt either.

Finding a way to keep the tubes off your GPU might be more difficult. Maybe rotating the tubes upward a bit will be enough.
