LEFT 4 DEAD PATCH HELP!!!

I have Left 4 Dead(Steam). I have the new update, but i can't join games anymore. When i use the server list, and the Auto search option, it says "connection with session has been lost", after looking for a game for 5 minutes. When i use the server list option, i join a game, but it's with only bots. Also, when i open the steam browser, it says that "steam was unable to sync your files for left 4 dead with steam cloud". Help please.. can't join any servers..
 
Try buying a legal copy?

J/K if it was already legal, post this on the L4D forums lol.
 
steam is F'ed up at the moment. Can't play anything, so far all my games show no servers.
 
It is a legal copy.. bought it at game stop.. Notice how i typed"i can't join games ANYMORE"
 
Yeah well that doesnt say much, illegal copies got booted after the patch released too.

Not that I would know anything about that.

Lol, L4D/Steam forums has quicker solutions!
 
Again, if this JUST started TODAY, you are in the same boat as everyone else it seems. No one can play L4D online at the moment. Friends and I have been trying for hours. Steam keeps going up and down.

Hadouken thanks for the suggestion, but don't accuse me of having an illegal copy unless you have solid proof.
 
Posted on the L4D forums, no one's answering.. so in the mean time... i'll b on here.. What's a DLC? Is that a fix?

Lots of people were having issues, myself included. I just waited it out and restarted Steam a few times and it went away. Check the Steam forums, its widely reported people couldn't join games, connect to friends and lost their achievements. They all came back though.
