I turned off my 5000Btu window unit mounted in a wall for one day, to get some fresh air into my room. I came back to my house about 10 hours later at about 7:00pm, and my thermometer mounted on my wall told me that it was up to 94 degrees F, about 75F outside. My brother was playing Warcraft III on my computer, showing how well it performed on high-resolution everything.
I reached behind the case to pull off my laplink cable, and a wave of heat hit me. Two 3.5" fans were blowing out air at least 100 degrees. So, i pulled the case out from under my desk and popped the hood to see who was causing problems. i put my fingers next to the cpu... hot air... GeForce2 ultra? hmmm... no air... a little closer and it burnt a nice pattern onto my knuckes.
The cheapo fan that came with it had melted its plastic spacers on the axle and seized the fan
