Hi all,

I've been wanting to dive a bit into the world of Juniper but i have a question:

What router to chose? i wanted to buy one on ebay but what model?

Dam even those J series are way too expensive for me just now.

@xphil3

Does Olive work Ok? Is it a VM or a normal machine?

Honestly, I haven't played with it much... but to learn the CLI its perfect. Mine is a VM but you can absolutely install it on a standalone computer.

Olive should work for what you need. A real Juniper router, even the J entry series is going to set you back an arm and a leg compared to what you probably only want to spend.

Well im downloading a VM with Olive to test it. Don't know if it's the one with the fix for the network cards but i guess ill find out soon.

With olive it is a router per machine or can u use it for multiple routers in one machine?

Juniper is starting to enter our market but, as usual, there are no tranning centers around here that teach Junos....
