Learning Director MX 2004. Will Flash be ez for me to learn after learning Director??

Hey there...I am learning Director MX 2004 in college...now I have a really good teacher...he's doing a great job and I got very interested in learning this software...infact I have doing the tutorial included with the program...as usual, I am learning this pretty fast...faster than the other ppl in the class are...

Anyways, I've always wanted to learn Flash...Will learning Director MX 2004 make learning Flash easy??? I think the thing that confused me when I first attempted to learn Flash (back in 2001) was the whole timeline concept...I think I'm understanding it now...

So is Flash much different when compared to how Director works???
