I've got a via aqua 1300 pump that is leaking water. Not a lot, but enough to leave a little puddle in the bottom of my case. Thankfully the water didn't get anything else, as my pump is at the bottom, and the water had no squirting force to get any of my components wet. The water seems to be seeping out of the crack between the two halves of the plastic casing of the pump. I purchased the pump in the spring of 04, but didn't get around to building my system until the late fall. I had only been using it for about a month when the leakage began. I found a post using the search function that said something about the via aqua is a good pump after its been modded for quietness and sealed. Consulting google only turned up something about epoxying around the rubber o-ring, which I dont think would help. What should I do about this?
 
there is a O-ring that seals the two halves i would replace that if that doesn't solve the problem you might have to use silicone sealent around the entire joint. i would siliconge the outside not the part where the o-ring is,

also regarding the "glue that impeller" mod i would advise against that untill you have a reason to do it. i did the mod after my pump started to rattle and make all sorts of anoying noises and after that it started to cogg on power up after 2-3 minutes it would stop gogging and return to normal. After a week of that i broke the glue and put in a small amount of RTV just to slow down the anti clog feature of the impeller and that seems to work well for my system.
