I was moving my res from its place in my cd drive bay and i saw 2 drips of water drop onto my gfx (everything unplugged thank god). I knew it came from the res but i wasnt sure. After further investigation i realized that the barb moved alittle when i applied force which allowed water to drip out. I tightened the barb. Should I be worried that it will still leak? As soon as i saw the drip of water a drip of sweat came from my forehead.

BTW i was removing all the blocks because some guy from monarch is replacing the mobo and psu (they failed...not due to drips (i hope)). Its kind of funny because the tubes are going through my case and i cant fully take it out (without cutting tubing ect) so all the blocks and res are just dangling outside of the case.
 
I would take your GPU out and let it air dry and make sure no water is on it when you plug it in...

I use PC ice which is nonconductive and I have had a leak on ym GPU from my CPU block and it was running when it happened.... the card started to artifact I tuened off the computer and then used rubbing alcahol on it and then used a blow dryer with the heat OFF.... then i put it back it and it works fine so that is what i would recommend
 
Definetly try to get visible moisture off with a lint-free cloth then let it sit for 1-3 days depending on how long you can wait/how much you value your hardware. If it was off and properly dried, it will likely be fine. more leaks could develop over time, try stressing stuff before getting it up and going by putting excess pressure on the barbs to simulate what might happen over time. I had leaks weeks, and months after leak testing. Its that 1 drop 5 months later that kills it. You've spend hundreds on water cooling for hardware that runs over 1k in most cases, why not spend $20 more and get some non-conductive fluid?
 
If you don't want to wait for days, drop the card in (prefereably pure) alcohol. It will leach the water out (if it got into any cracks, etc.). The alcohol will dry off a lot quicker, without the risk of shorting anything after you're done.

This happens alot. The problem is the plastic barb. I notice the same thing. If I move one of the plastic barbs (I have a Typhoon 120mm res) laterally, it will start to form a few droplets of water.

This is due to the elasticity of the plastic barb, it will deform out of the perfect seal shape when lateral pressure is applied. Unless there is a few lbs of force pushing it to a side, your res will not leak (well, at least not from the barb, acrylic res's leaking for other reasons unincluded).

This is fine. A drop of water or two won't hurt anyone. I've dumped a good 200ml of water on my motherboard and gpu (ugh) and all it took was a nice 20 minute run in an 145 degree F oven (with the door open about .5cm). I've also salvaged a ipod that fell in the pool (it was ON too) by piecing it out and placing it in said oven (HD unincluded, as it's sealed).

As for you, a hairdryer and some alcohol will be your friend. Trust me. 5 minutes of the hair dryer followed by some alcohol then some more time with the hairdryer and your parts will be nice and dry.
 
well i just let it dry out with a hair dryer and it was fine :).

I spend hundreds of dollars on the best equipment to get the lowest temps I can, why would I throw away 5 degrees by using pre-mixed coolant?

That is my way of thinking.
