Im thinkin about getting this card seeing as leadtek are a reliable brand and because its basically the cheapest 6800 card available in Australia. Something really puzzles me about it though, its the GT card but yet it comes with the 2 power connectors and also takes up 2 pci slots. Based on that, it looks like leadteks GT is exactly the same as the ultra card except for the lower memory and clock speeds. Has any1 come across this card yet?

wow thats a great deal just thats one seriously ugly ass card. I mean i have never seen anything more ugly then that

Agreed, it looks like something out of an 80's sci-fi movie.

It does look dirty, btw I havent seen a single 6800 non ultra review uptil now...

yeah i know its ugly, but i dont have a window in my case so im not really concerned about aesthetics, but it does look like that huge chunk of copper would do a good job cooling it. But like I said its the cheapest deal available in Australia.

Its really odd how ati is so much cheaper than nvidia in the US, but for some reason its the opposite here. Cheapest X800 pro I could find was 710 AUD, and thats for the shitty GeCube brand. Not to mention that the leadtek ultra will probably overclock to ultra speeds. Found another place selling the gigabyte X800 pro for $1000 AUD, ie 690 USD!!?? God hardware prices are fucked up here

holy christmas, $690!?!?! what a rip.

card is kinda ugly, but at least they changed the lame reference design and probably improved the cooling. i trust leadtek and they make good stuff. my old ti4600 from them had the best vga heatsink ever, a complete aluminum wraparound that probably weighed like a pound.

and why is that available there and not here....

A lot of the time online retailers get the specs and pictures wrong particularly when a card is not actually readily available yet. There's a good possibility that when the non-ultra finally shows up on leadtek's site it could look different.

Also, that is NOT A GT it is a non-ultra, if it were a GT it would have 256MB of RAM. Since it has only 128 you can be pretty sure it is a non-ultra.

I would wait until more cards are available, it's hard to compare pricing with all of the fake stocks and price gouging. Also take a look at BFG if you are getting a 6800 they are a great company. I have had a couple but not many problems with Leadtek.
