i'm looking for a capture card to replace my all in wonder 9800 pro when i sell the card for something new.
the use of the card will be for watching/recording cable and s-video input (Sat, VCR ect...) so i would like it to have a tuner.
i was recommnded and have heard good things about the leadtek cards. a lot of people say get the Winfast TV2000, which has a good price and many people say the video quality is pretty good.
my question is, i also see there is a PVR2000, which costs 2x as much as the TV2000, but i am having trouble finding any differences between the cards. has anyone used both? is the only difference the price,? the specs i can find on the cards are almost identical except the PVR has onboard Mpeg encoding, if that is the only difference, is it worth the money? anything i record, i plan on re-encoding to a more compact divx format, that way i can fit a couple hours on one CD or about 10 hours on one DVD.
