I have a thread about Flexible Heat Pipes concerning a TEC neck cooler.

http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1091528

Stupid question, i tried muriatic acid to remove the zinc layer on a sheet of galvanized copper. It doesn't, it reacts for a few seconds and leaves a siries of triangle patterns:

It is either galvanized copper or lead coated copper.

How could I test for lead without buying a test kit? What else reacts well with lead to test with?

Just buy the test kit. You probably shouldn't be looking for things around the house to react with lead.

I ask because im lazy. i can get it confirmed and replaced when i see my freind in a few days, or just find something to react with it. Thanks though.
