LCDs on ebay?

Anyone do this before? The prices are better than retail outlets or newegg, and the buyers i have checked have excellent feedback and a lot of purchases


where is the risk? it seems i could save $100 or so on most lcds
 
I think the main factor that would prevent me from buying an LCD off of eBay is because of the fact that you can't be guaranteed of what would happen should you end up with a bad one. You may be able to save $100, but if you find that you end up with a bad one, there is no guarantee you'll be able to get it replaced in a timely fashion.

There's also the fact that I'm somewhat wary of spending more than about $100 or so on an eBay purchase regardless of feedback, but that's just me...
 
i purchased a Dell 15" 152fp lcd for my fiance off ebay. Paid $250 (including shipping). It was new in box & no dead pixles. Going to buy her another one so she can run a dual setup off her Shuttle.
 
would you spend $200-500 off the internet with out having some type of return policy? if you are willing to do something like that then go for it....I have sold a few iBooks through e-bay and can't believe that people would pay with just my word that I was going to send it after I got their money.....my personal feeling about ebay is if you can afford to loose what ever you pay for something then go for it otherwise pay the little extra for a good piece of mind
