I am looking to wall mount my Samsung 46" C630

here

these are about the only ones I see, probably end up getting it from monoprice though

Just wanted to see what others have experience and such

Those are easy to use... one man operation. They basically just clip onto the bracket... i actualy use one i got at best buy cause i needed something same day

I bought one of the cheapest ones from Monoprice for my 42" Plasma.

The only issue I had with Monoprice is the Lagbolts are poor quality. If you don't pre-drill the hole the length of the lag bolts they give you (like 3.5" deep) then you'll end up sheering the head off trying to tighten it. I had to buy a couple 2.5" stainless steel ones to drill into the wall right next to the ones that sheered off. Holds up fine.

So my recommendation is a.) make sure you pre-drill the holes deep enough, or b.) buy some higher quality lag bolts from home depot or something for a buck.

Besides that it works great, needed low-profile 90* adapters for my HDMI cable and my Coax (ebay has them too) but that's because I got a really low-profile non-adjusting mount. Sits close to the wall though

I've got my 46" LCD on this one and it works great.

I didn't have the same experience as Blazestorm, the bolts were just fine.

It's a solid mount and it's not going anywhere. You should make sure that your jacks aren't going to be covered by the mount when you attach it to the TV. On my 46" samsung, it covers up almost the entire panel where the jacks are. I can still get at them, but it's difficult to move cables around -- but really, how often do you need to do that.

I'd give it a 5 star based on construction, durability, and price. And you'll probably need two people to mount this guy -- it's heavy, and holding it in place to mark the holes on the wall was near impossible.

I got a monoprice mount not too long ago and they claimed to have changed the bolts to prevent this but still recommended predrilling. predrilling is best anyway as it ensurest he most secure fit. simply driving in a bolt that size will make the stud bulge and crack and weaken the sides. Think about it, the wood has to go somewhere. drill bits remove it. lags displace it. You should always make pilot holes when dealing with anything over #6.

I did pre-drill it, but the bolts were so long I didn't have a drill-bit to drill deep enough...

It was only ~.5" short but the lag bolts still weren't able to go that last bit through the stud, they just failed under pressure. 2 of them sheered off and I don't really trust the other two...

I don't know if you can use the Samsung LED mount kit on the other model TVs, but I just hung my un55c6500 with it, and it was incredibly easy and stable, and about as close to the wall as you can get.

I bought THIS ONE from Monoprice and hung it up a few days ago. It's holding a 40" 1080p RCA LCD. I'm not sure I pre-drilled all the way, but it was pretty damn close (I went as far as I could with the bit) and had no problem with my lag bolts. For $26 shipped, I can't complain.

that is crappy...and is probably why they still swapped the bolts to better ones.

Hmm. I really need one of these too. My TV is just kinda make shift setup on a dresser in my room. It's really too low to be comfortable where it is right now.

Any Idea how to attach one to a wall with no studs? The spot I want to use is right between my bathroom door and my closet door. It's just big enough to fit the 42" properly. When I was building a projector screen that currently resides in the spot, I found that there are no usable studs in the center.:(

Honestly, I was thinking of using a backer board made from MDF and just putting it up on the drywall with about a million anchors and then mounting the mount to that. That idea is really thin to me though. I'm sure some of you have run into this before.

Pretty cool I guess, but not $50 cool. Maybe I've just been spoiled by Monoprice too much, but I paid half that for the mount itself, and I'd probably pay another $25 for that kit.

Demon - how far does your mount stick out from the wall? I like this one a lot, but didn't want it sticking too far out vs. the other slim mounts.

I'm not at home, so I don't have an exact measurement. It's not far, though -- the arms fold in rather well. I was worried about that, too -- but it doesn't bother me.

I'll try to grab a measurement for you tonight, but I'm pretty damn busy so I'm sorry if I can't...

I just measured -- the back of my TV is about 5" from the wall. It's more than I thought, but I think it still looks good. You can't be too close or your cables won't fit (at least not on my TV).

Thanks Demon - that's helps a lot! Am going to pull the trigger on this guy.
