Hi all, so after 5 years using a IIyama 19" CRT, I did a bit of looking around here and ended up getting myself a Samsung 225BW.(yes I noticed already mention of a 226BW, jeez, 2 weeks and its already obsolete !)
The thing thats really bugging me about it is what happens when I tilt the display or alter my viewing angle up or down, even by a small amount gives HUGE variance in brightness and contrast. This forum is a perfect example, With eyes level with middle of the display, looking at the top, the text is white and the background behind the white text is perfectly black, as I look down(head still) background becomes lighter until at the bottom it becomes a mid-to-light grey against the white text.
If I lean back and my viewing angle drops below the horizontal the grey becomes black.
Its really annoying especially on the 360 where over time, I tend to shift forward or backward, its like altering the brightness/contrast full up/down. So I can get the settings just fine but if I move my head up/down by even a couple of inches.....

Is this "just how it is" with LCDs ?
Is it this Samsung ?
Do I just have to sit really still while using these displays?
Am I a raving lunatic ?

Thanks shifty803, that was enlightening (like when I sit up straight with this display)
