As the topic says, just curious how many LCD users have widescreen models. If you do have WS, please post which res.

edit.. guess I should follow my own instuctions.

Dell 2405FPW 1920x1200/DVI.

About to have a 2405FP, so also 1920 x 1200 (currently 1024x768). :)

Edit: now it's 1920 x 1200 (sweet!) ;)

I don't have a monitor right now but I voted for widescreen because that's what I am giong to get.

dell 700m at 1280x800
sharp lcd/tv at 1280x768

plan to buy 1 or 2 of the new dells soonish.

u dont havea monitor - how did u read the post then?

for the poll, I have both :D 2405 & 2001 in dual setup  too bad there is no such option :(

OK grandpa!

2005FPW - 1680x1050. Me likey!

Just tossing in something to throw the thread off track :)

Really, standard 1920x1200 for desktop and faster games, 1680x1050 for newer slower games. I don't notice the scaling at all and that's with my glasses on and an arms length away.

arent most LCD displys 5:4 ? isnt 4:3 = 1.33 and 5:4 = 1.25? so 1280x1024 is 5:4 that is for most of the LCD displays and 1024x768 is 4:3 and most common for CRT displays ...

Well for some reason I like the widescreen, maybe because with HDTV everyone is going to have a widescreen eventually so i might as well start now and buy about 5(already have had about 4) ;) this is logical no?

Sheesh, is there enough Dells in this thread? ;)

I chose standard because I've just ordered up 2 Hyundai L90D+'s 19" ;) 1280x1024

Vote which is primary.

i prefer the widescreen on my 2405fpw however my 5200 wont drive it at native res, however there is a 6600gt on its way to my house as we speak!

definately widescreen. ive got the hp 17" zd7000. most beautiful thing ive ever owned... :D

Uhm, I switch primary every now and then, so both are :D I mean, I use them for whatever applications need ;)

You have to use one, more than the other. If you cant make up your mind, dont vote. Simple enough.

What kind of rig are you running for that res, any extra eye candy on? I will probably buy this game in the future but will most likely need to scale down to 1680x1050 to get AA and AF, no worries though as games still look awesome scaled down on this thing.

P4 2.66ghz, 1gig (2x512) PC3200 RAM, BFG GeForce 6800GT OC 256MB. IIRC Shader Model 3, 4xAA/4xAF, pretty much all options turned on. For the most part it runs very smooth.....I've only noticed a touch of slowdown here and there. I really ought to upgrade the CPU, but I don't have the scratch yet to switch over to an Athlon......

i will have 2005fpw also in a couple days and id go w/ the flow right now 1680x1050

Still very suprised to see more WS users. I thought it would be flip-flopped. Perhaps after another day or two of voting.
