LCD TV to PC?

Ok since the link is useless now, can LCD TVs be used for gaming?
 
What i noticed with LCD TV is about the maximum resolution. They often has lower maximum resolutions (i remember 800x600 on 15 inch and 1024x760 on 17 inch) and the picture is a bit more grainy. The high price is caused by the speakers and the integrated tuner/remote.

If you want to use with your computer, it's more logical to get a true computer LCD screen and put a TV tuner card / remote for cheap.
