LCD TV Question

Hey folks. I've got a question.

Which LCD TV brand is the most reliable. and by reliable, i mean won't die anytime soon.

I have a 32" sharp aquos lcd tv which i've owned for about a year and a half. at the end of november it died on me, so i had to take it back to best buy and have them fix it. it's covered under the 2 year product replacement plan so i'm not paying out of my own pocket. but they still have the tv and the only status update i can get is "we're still working on it".

also a friend of my wife has a sharp aquos that started getting problems after only 8 months.

I may end up getting it replaced instead of repaired if it takes too long. so what brand would you recommend?

i'm thinking of sony or samsung. anyways, what luck have you had with certain tv brands?

Consumer Reports reliability data is your best bet. As for me, I think 720p 42"-50" plasmas are the best value ($700-900).
