I need an external monitor and I'm in a pinch. I've only got access to a 32" 2014 LED LCD television. It's got HDMI ovbiously which I can run into my MBP 15" however before I do so, I recall someone telling me to not run my TV as a monitor but I assume that can be for specific gaming reasons like poor refresh rate / response times for gaming machines. Does it matter if I'm looking at code via terminal window and basic OS functionality?
