lcd sync?

Hey, not sure if anyone has ever encounterd this problem or heard of it, but once in awhile while im playin a game (mostly dawn of war) my lg lcd monitor will totally lose sync. Not sure how or why it does it, but just randomly I get all these sqiggly lines and what not, id have to alt-tab a few times and it usually comes back to normal.

Not sure if it a monitor issue, but ive got latest drivers for everything. I recently tried vista and it was alot worst on there where it would completely screw up my display. Anyone have any ideas? Looks just like if you have a crt on refresh rates that it can't handle.
 
Nobody has ever seen this? Any ideas or suggestions?? Really like to get this problems resolved if I can. Do you think its a drivers issue since it happened with vista more?
 
Are you sure it's not your video card over heating? The gpu or memory maybe causing this problem. Not sure though. When was the last time you checked yoru video card for dust, re-applied thermal compound on the GPU, etc?
 
I have this same problem with Dawn of War. Its not your LCD, as it happens on my CRT as well. Its only on certain maps, one with lightpole shadows and rain... Radeon X1900XTX
