dumb question but are they as clear as CRT monitors? i've only really sat down at a computer with an LCD monitor once and i notice that everything didnt look nice an smooth like on a CRT monitor. The text looked like it was brought into photoshop and was sharpened a million times.
 
Stare at an LCD for a day, you'll really notice the difference then.
 
if something is sharpened too much, the edges looked garbled instead of smooth. i dunno, it just doesnt look smooth to me.
