Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
they dont work on lcd's. the image is either off or on. since there is not crt scanning in the image you dont not get a post phosperous decay, the flicker. although, settings have a "backwards compatible setting for the video card" is is not really a refresh rate setting.
note: this is why lcd's are comfortable to work with. the image is not causing the eye to constantly attune to the image. subconscience is how most perceive this but some can at a conscience level.
You can destroy an LCD by forcing it to run higher refresh rate than it wants to according to article I read (don't remember where).
The article said to let the LCD monitor setup software or the video card setup software pick the refresh rate.
They will always pick a conservative refresh rate (usually 60) that will not harm the LCD.
So I leave my LCDs at 60Hz and have no problems and pic is rock-steady and restful on the eyes.
I could never do that on my CRTs; I always had them refresh at 80-110 to save my eyes from headaches.
And like someone here already said, there's no noticeable diff that you can see (on an LCD monitor) whether its running at 60 or 75.
