I am a gamer, and am in the process of upgrading my computer, 3200+ venice will arrive tomorrow to complete it. I spent quite a bit on the rest of the computer, and am now thinking about getting a new LCD. Overall, I am pretty happy about the CRT I have, Viewsonic A90f+.
I upgraded my computer with the expectation of getting better looking games and performance, but as I am looking around for LCD's, I see that the resolutions are fixed for the most part. Doesn't trying to play games on a resolution of 1680 x 1050(2005fpw) get difficult?
I don't often upgrade my computer, the one before my new one was a 1.2 GHz Tbird with 512 ram and a Geforce 3. So I am not really thinking about today's games, but later on down the road. Will I have to constantly upgrade my computer to keep it playable?
Or am I thinking all wrong about it and fixed resolutions aren't as much of a downside as I am thinking?
