An LCD panel used by most producers, must use the same AG coating ?

For example : The 23" LG E-IPS panel is used by Asus, Dell and LG, but if the panel is the same, the AG coating used can be different model by model, or must be the same ?

If it's the exact same panel I believe the coating should be the same too. I don't think Dell, Asus or whoever makes monitors for them are the ones who apply the coating, LG does. That's not to say every LG panel has the same coating because I've seen IPS panels with harsher coating than my ZR24w but as long as the panel is the same, it makes sense to me the coating is the same too.

My ips226v is HARD to read the text !
my ex TN monitor had same dimension but was most easy to reading ! :eek:

I want to change this LG with Asus ML239H but i dont know if the AG coating can be the same.

ML239H have the IPS236v same pannel in TFTCENTRAL database :

Asus = 23"WS LG.Display e-IPS (LM230WF3-SLB1)
LG 236v = 23"WS LG.Display e-IPS (LM230WF3)

I'm not sure what trouble you're having reading text on the IPS226v, but I'm using one right now to reply to this post and it looks great. You post this in every thread about the IPS226v, but you haven't gone into detail about what the actual problem is. Since I do digital forensics, I spend a lot of time looking at black text on a white background in my tools, and I have no problems with this monitor yet after adjusting the brightness. I don't even notice the AG coating making sparklies on white screens unless I'm less than a foot from the monitor, though I usually sit back about 2 ft from the monitor. And I say that as someone who loves glossy screens.

Have to agree with the above posters as I read A LOT on the IPS226 (and my eyes are absolutely terrible so I'm standing close to the monitor) and it's fine even after spending the whole day behind it.
Brightness at 40% though, at 100 it's indeed quite painful.

i read very fine my laptop and my ex 21.5" TN !
but this LG is not "HARD to read", but i have difficoult to focus 100% each caracter !

the text is readable but is not easy for my eyes, i have 226v
