LCD need help choosing

I'm tossing up between a 172x and an acer 1912 19"LCD. The acer has 16ms response and all the good stuff except its analog. I've never used a digital screen, what do you guys/gals think?
 
Both the 12ms 17" digital LCD and the 16ms 19" analog LCD have a native rez of 1280x1024. Which is real hi-rez, and looks real great in games. If you play all your games in that rez, the 19" analog might not be a bad buy and may give as nice a pic at 1280x1024 as the 17" digital gives at 1280x1024.
But if you change to another rez (because, maybe, a game demands 1024x768 or 800x600) then the digital 17" LCD is gonna give a 'better looking' pic (at those lower resolutions) than the 19"analog LCD will.
It boils down to this: a quality digital LCD will give a better pic at "non-native" rez than a quality analog LCD will give at "non-native" rez. But if both are run at their 'native rez', they'll both give pretty darn fine pics. And since they're both "fast" panels (in the "fast" 12ms and 16ms range) you prolly won't see much ghosting in either one.
 
just one thing. you say "native res" is 1280*1024 isnt that the max?
wouldnt the naitve be lower than that?
