LCD/LED screen w/ cpu usage/hdd capacity/etc

I was wondering where I could get a screen for either my Floppy slot or even my CD-ROM slot that shows cpu usage/gigs free on hdd/other nifty stuff that might come w/ it, maybe like an impute where I can have alittle text heading.

How much are they and how much work is it to hook one up?

It's probably easiest to use a Crystalfontz serial LCD and a program like CrystalControl, LCD Smartie, LCDriver, or LCD Studio. All of these programs can be found here,

and Crystalfontz displays can be purchased at their website,

There are cheaper options, but they require a little bit of soldering and cutting. Otherwise, the Crystalfontz displays are nice.
