hey guys, I just finished my buddies new pc build, i5 750, 2 x 4 gig G.Skill ripjaws, Asus radeon 4350 512mb silent, WD 1tb black, Gigabyte h55. He is using a 22" Phillips 1920 x 1080 monitor. He's running WIN7 64bit. He has installed the latest drivers from Asus.

He is using an hdmi cable to the lcd, and when we select the max res of 1920x1080 it leaves a full one inch border of black all around the monitor but what it does display is as small as 1920??? If we reduce the display to 1680x1050 it fills the screen perfectly. It does the same thing when we use the VGA connection.

TIA.

I've read of similar problems at least 2-3 times recently...usually seems to be related to an overscan setting in the ATI drivers. I can't recall where and am using the nVidia control panel right now but Google "ATI overscan" and see what you can dig up.
