Ok guys did some searching and didnt really find a definitive guide on what you should look for when purchasing a new LCD monitor. I am talking dot pitch, ms refresh, native rez all that good stuff. Basically this will be used for some video/picture editing, Lots of gaming and the normal web browsing and movies.

Thanks in advance.

2005fpw, is nice because it has a high res, and 12ms response time, widescreen is nice for everything lol, some complain about the back light, honestly youll never notice it unless your looking at a prue black screen.

so i would say look for:
fast ms response time for gaming (some say 16ms and under)
8bit panel for good color reproduction (2005fpw is 8 bit i think?)
good viewing angles (may not be important if all you do is look at your monitor straight on)
widescreen is nice for movies
im not sure what you should look for on native res, but look for something your video card can power, my x800xl has trouble with the 2005fpw at native res in certain areas of WoW.

also if your picky try and find it in store to look at first, cause newegg wont return them unless it has 8 or more pixels dead, thats why i went with the dell you have a 21day return period where you can return the monitor for any reason (unless you broke it on purpose)
