lcd - dust behind screen?

Recently I sold my 19" Samsung LCD monitor and bought the 20.1" 1600x1200 version (SyncMaster 204T). When I installed it I noticed that the screen looks a bit different. Can't really describe it but it looks as if there is dust behind the screen or it uses a different lcd material than my 19". If you ever looked at the bottom screen of a Nintendo DS (old version) it kind of reminds me of the rainbow color effect those screens have.

I am just going insane?
