LCD, Dust and cleaning

I am in the market for a new monitor and am thinking going LCD. I have a laptop and have noticed that since I have forced hot air the dust in my house can get bad during the winter months.
I have cleaned the laptop lcd screen with special wipes, but can always see some residue lines where I cleaned it.

My question is, is there a way to clean the lcd screen without getting all the smudge lines?
 
I just use 50/50 with water and the highest % rubbing Alcohol you can find. 90% is usually fine. Just dip a soft cloth in it and wipe your screen down softly.
 
alcohol cant be good for your anti glare coat


but i usually use warm water and a soft cotton t shirt

Everywhere I've read (including here) has said to do the same =\
 
i found a spray that doesnt contain ammonia and it works great. its just like windex. the ammonia does eat away your coating though. i only have lcds though, no streaks :)
