Hello all,
So I'm wondering if anyone can help me troubleshoot this issue with a Dell monitor.
Essentially, there is a think, dark horizontal (vertical? I have the monitor set up portrait style) line that is visible on certain solid color panels. I notice it particularly on blue and maroon/red. It's actually not visible at all on white though which is kinda odd.
Some more details: I turned the monitor off for about an hour and turned it back on. Now at first, the line was still dark and quite visible. Here is a picture:

However, after about 10-15 mins, it 'seems' like the dark line may have faded slightly so it's less visible but still there. Here is another pic after literally only a 10-15 minute lapse:

NOTE: The pictures aren't the greatest quality so it's kind of hard to tell but the dark line is more visible than it appears on the pics. But, it's not like completely blacked out so it shouldn't be dead pixels or anything.
I don't know if this is at all relevant but I did have a fairly heavy speaker (wharfadale diamond pro 8.1 active) that was right beside it that I removed also at about the same time the line started fading. This may be a stupid question/comment but I feel this may have just been a coincidence because I didn't think speakers/magnets near LCDs should pose a problem (but perhaps that is completely off base?)
I'm totally confused as to what is going on. Any insights would be much appreciated.
Thanks
UPDATE: So after another 10 minutes or so, the band is darker/more visible again
Here is another picture for reference (note that I've flipped the monitor back to horizontal so the bar is now vertical):
