I got my hands on a surplussed Dell 1908FPc monitor from my work because when you press the power button nothing happens. Since I am a college student, naturally I work two jobs during the summer -- One to pay for school and one to pay for play/hobbies :D At my second job I threw it on the bench and the power supply checks out and the button works, so it *should* work. But since it doesn't I am assuming that the controller board is shot.

The question is...can anyone buy these controller boards? It has a Dell part number and serial number on the board. The sticker says PN: (T)6AGCDGQ. The only other markings on the board is the main chip on the top of the board which is a Genesis 5626H-LF. I found a data sheet for it, and I found it entertaining that the chip is a "Dual input LCD controller for entry level applications."

Any help tracking one of these boards down is greatly appreciated.

You might call Dell but they would probably charge more for the part than a working monitor off of e-bay.

That part number doesn't seem right, are there any other numbers?

It is electronic waste. Not worth attention.

If it were something like a VP201 or an LCD1970NX, a restoration would be worthwhile.

I just liked it because it matched my 2407, so it would have been a nice addition to the ol' desk.
