Im sure there has been posts on this in the past.. but I might as well bring it up again.

What do you use to clean your screens? I've heard that a solution of 50% water and 50% isopropyl alcohol works quite well. Ive actually used it on my laptop... but I want to be careful considering I am getting my new 650$ NEC in a few days.

Its funny, I picked up a Westinghouse 19inch widescreen for my 2nd box and to bring to LAN parties. I bought it 3 weeks ago... my first LCD ever. I didnt expect much for a 240$ monitor, but this thing is damn awesome. I went to a LAN party and used the thing for gaming for 3 days, and I have fallen in love with LCD's! I just HAD to get something for my main box. So.. NEC is en route to my house next week and I am pumped. I plan on keeping this large investment clean and beautiful, and I need the best solution to clean my LCD with!

I was such a hater of LCD's due to being a big gamer and liking the option of different resolutions, but god damn you cannot beat widescreen gaming.

If anyone wants a cheap as hell 19inch widescreen, Im very impressed with the Westinghouse 19 :)

Also, thanks to these forums for all the excellent posts that allowed me to pick the NEC as my primary gaming monitor. Hoping I get a perfect panel :p

I use Klear Screen. YMMV, but I think the only way to go is to use a non ammonium / non alcohol cleaner.

Distilled water.

Seriously, it costs like 99 cents for a gallon and will last you awhile. Using cleaning agents will damage most anti-glare coatings on both LCDs and CRTs, and in some cases can actually void your warranty.

A soft clean lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water is all you should need. :)

Water. My 214T even says use water in the manual. For just dust I use a microfiber cloth.
