LCD and Studio Reference Monitors (speakers)

Hi Everyone,
I have a CRT right now and am getting an LCD soon. I have a pair of studio speakers (shown above) for mixing music and even though they are "magnetically sheilded" when I point the cone right at my CRT there is odvious magnetic discoloration on the screen but when the speakers are pointed out twards me they don't really bother the CRT much. If I got a 19 or 20 inch LCD that would put the sides of it closer to my speaker than my CRT is. So the question will my speakers effect the new LCD at all?

LCD's are not really affected by magnetic disturbances the way CRT's are, so you should have no problem. But like anything electronic, don't put them too close together unless you have to.
 
Shouldn't have a problem. The reason the CRTs are affected is because the charged particles fired at the screen to cause the phosphors to light up and give a picture are affected by magnetic fields.

The LCDs do not work in the same way and so should not have the same problem.
 
Your only concern now should be getting an LCD large enough to dwarf those monitors :D

Hehe... right now I'm leaning twards the 2001fp which sould look cool next to my monitors.
