I have a LCD, with what I think is a dead inverter. Screen turns on for few seconds then blanks out, I use to can see a really slight and super dim image in the back, but no more. Sounds like a burnt inverter?

Anyways, do I have to get the exact model number inverter for my screen or do I have a wider selection of inverters to pick from? Inverter model is 1024S from samsung, 15inch lcd.

if you're feeling ballsy, take it apart and shine a flashlight at it from behind while it's running, that should give you a good idea of whether the panel is broken.

If I shine a light at the back of it and there's nothing showing up on the screen then it's not my inverter that's broken? Is that 100% information?
