what is smp clients?
Wow! Nice to see another amdgamer(AMD_Gamer) join our folding team! Welcome!
I am still hoping that Stanford will finally release a decent folding client for ATI video cards soon. I probably woudn't fold on my 5850's due to heat and power draw, but there are a LOT of members here at the [H] with ATI video cards.
I have been folding for a long time, almost 5 million points. I stopped this past year because of the electric bill.
Wow- I only have 1.5 rigs running, and still get static from my wife... I pointed out that the halogen lights she uses for the morning routine takes more electricity than the computers all day. Bad idea~
AMD_Gamer; Love the sig!
amdgamer: I just picked up a HAF922, isn't that thing awesome?
(and dusty, but at least easy to clean)
My biggest bill ever was close to $700. 3 stories townhouse. central A/C plus a window unit in the computer room. 18 rigs folding. probably around 2002-2003
I just wrote a check to the power company for $500.![]()
Yea on the dust part- but the only heatsink that needs to be cleaned on my rig is the cpu. My 4850 has a passive heatsink with nice wide fins- no dust buildup and the case fan keeps temps (overclocked a bit) to around 38c... 'sides, with that many vents, you can almost con-o-air from the front to the back without opening...Yes, I absolutely love the CM HAF922 which is why I chose this case again for folding2. It is the perfect size, and I love the side vent which allows me to install another intake fan. My gaming rig has the AMD edition HAF932. The 922's seem to be pretty dusty cases though as folding1 is absolutely caked in dust. I havn't bothered cleaning it yet since the cpu temps are still holding in the mid to upper 60's right now.
